Beverage Policy
All alcoholic beverage service must be provided through KU Memorial Union, KU Catering, A division of KU Dining Services • Based on 5 hours open Hosted Bar • Applies to all guest 21 years and older • All guests under 21 are subjected to non-alcoholic pricing • Signature Cocktail can be added for $5.00 per guest • Wine Service during dinner is available for a per person rate – it is not provided in the package. ($1.00 per person plus wine by the bottle price)
Beverage Policy
Cash Bars are available for large events such as a Wedding Reception.
Bar package
A flat bartender fee of $85.00 per bar and bartender.

Cash bar
A bartender fee of $125.00 per 90 mins minimum sales of $300.00.
Cash bar setup fee of $100 per bar.

All alcoholic beverage prices are subject to 10 percent Kansas State Excise Tax and 20 percent service charge. Prices are subject to change with guaranteed pricing 30 days prior to the function. The Catering Director and Event Manager will work with you to provide any special requests you may have for bar services. All special beverage ordering will be done by the Director.
We urge you not to mix drinking and driving. Should you need assistance, please allow our staff to arrange transportation for you.
Beverage consumption policy
When calculating alcohol consumption, KU Dining Services uses the standard “Rule of Thumb”:
Two (2) drinks per person for the first hour of the event, Then one (1) drink per person for every hour thereafter, for the duration of the event
