Heart of Campus
The all-access plan has the heart of campus feature, which is the option to enjoy a combo meal at retail locations. The pass is eligible at Courtside Cafe, The Underground, and The Market during lunch hours (10 am - 3 pm) Monday-Friday without having to use dining dollars. A few examples of a combo meal would be a custom salad and a beverage or our Mac and cheese with a protein and beverage from Courtside Cafe. For more information click here.
What are Dining Dollars?
Dining Dollars: A dollar-for-dollar exchange on every purchase, Dining Dollars are used for all purchases from meals at dining centers and food courts, when you need a Starbucks coffee between classes. Dining Dollars roll over from fall to spring to an active KU card.
They also work at Mrs E’s and South Dining Commons– our all-you-care-to-eat locations on campus. Dining dollars can be added to any plan if you run short!
Please note that the Access, Crimson, and Blue plans are academic year plans. The dining dollars that are part of the plan will roll over from the Fall to an active Spring semester plan. Any unused dollars expire at the end of the spring semester and are forfeited. Make sure you plan accordingly to use your dollars and not lose them.

Terms and Important Dates
- Residents who select a residence hall are required to purchase a dining plan. Plan options are offered by KU Dining and residents eat at venues operated by KU Dining. A resident selects a plan and is billed twice during the academic year, at the start of each semester. For declining balance plans, remaining fall semester balances will carry over and be added to spring semester balances. Any unused dining dollar balance remaining at the end of spring semester is forfeited.
- For all other students dining plans are optional and may be purchased through myKU login page by logging into Housing under Services.
A resident agrees to accept dining plan charges and pay the applicable fees in accordance with the scheduled due dates as posted by Student Accounts & Receivables. Fees not paid by the due date may result in one or more of the following actions being taken against the resident by the university: 1) postponement of scheduled check-in time; 2) suspension of access to housing and dining facilities; and/or 3) cancellation of contract. Cancellation charges will apply.
Housing residents will follow the Housing Cancellation policy. If approved for cancellation, KU Dining Plans will be canceled based on a prorated rate according to the week of the semester the student completes their check out from housing. Balances above the prorated amount will be forfeited.
